La Brasserie Artisanale du Roussillon is a craft and bio brewery located in Rivesaltes, a French town between the sea and the Pyrenees in the heart of the Catalan countries.
Starting from 1989 as a beverage distributor throughout the region, Céline Sabatier in 2022 decided to open the craft brewery now called La B.A.R., more commonly known by the name La Xot, which in Catalan means “The Owl,” the symbol of the business.
The plant produced by Omnia Technologies, thanks to the transversal expertise of its brands, is an example of an end-to-end solution that the Group proposes to the industry, as it covers the entire production process: from the management of raw materials to the finished, packaged product.
In addition to the brewing process technologies, the brewery has a complete and flexible packaging line. The system includes solutions for filling, capping, labelling and handling of bottles and cartons. This reduces product waste and losses, improving efficiency and quality. Moreover, the entire line is designed to be operated by a single operator.
The brewery’s philosophy reflects the principles of eco-responsibility, starting from the recycling of all production water, used for the irrigation of the entire property, to the control of electrical consumption thanks to photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the building.
This path continues with the preparation for the “Zéro Déchet Label” a highly aspired and demanded certification in France: it allows not only economic benefits and aid in the area of waste management, but also and above all promotes the circular economy and improves the company’s image and the well-being of the surrounding area.
