La Brasserie Artisanale du Roussillon is a craft and bio brewery located in Rivesaltes, a French town between the sea and the Pyrenees in the heart of the Catalan countries.
Starting from 1989 as a beverage distributor throughout the region, Céline Sabatier in 2022 decided to open the craft brewery now called La B.A.R., more commonly known by the name La Xot, which in Catalan means “The Owl,” the symbol of the business.
The complete brewery consists of a range of technologies provided by different Omnia Technologies brands, covering both the production process and bottling and packaging.
From the brewhouse to fermenters, cross-flow filters and the CIP (Cleaning In Place) system, the process technologies are designed to guarantee high quality and efficiency. The bottling and packaging phase is handled by a complete line, equipped with an integrated labeller.
The brewery’s philosophy reflects the principles of eco-responsibility, starting from the recycling of all production water, used for the irrigation of the entire property, to the control of electrical consumption thanks to photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the building.
This path continues with the preparation for the “Zéro Déchet Label” a highly aspired and demanded certification in France: it allows not only economic benefits and aid in the area of waste management, but also and above all promotes the circular economy and improves the company’s image and the well-being of the surrounding area.
